Everybody needs a coach

People seek coaching for various reasons, such as needing accountability to achieve their goals, enhancing leadership skills, or finding guidance to manage multiple responsibilities. According to the 2022 ICF Global Consumer Awareness Study, the most frequently reported benefits of coaching include:

  • Enhancing communication skills
  • Achieving a healthy work-life balance
  • Boosting self-esteem and confidence
  • Progressing in their career
  • Reducing stress and managing burnout

A common thread among high performers, from top executives to elite athletes, is that they all have coaches. Surprisingly, in the business realm, nearly two-thirds of executives outside the top innovators do not. In fact, more than 60% of individuals feel embarrassed to even think about, let alone ask for, coaching. During our coaching sessions we ensure confidentiality and keeping ICF ethics standards regardless of who pays: the client or the sponsor. We strive to create an environment for our clients where they feel comfortable and can openly share their experiences, even in complex and uncomfortable matters.

Career coaching or advisory?

Career coaching and career advisory services both aim to help individuals achieve their professional goals, but they differ in their approaches and focus areas.
Career Coaching is a collaborative partnership that focuses on the individual’s present situation and future aspirations. During this process client takes full responsibility for decision making and coach acts as thinking partner. This tool aims to enhance skills, improve performance, and support in career advancement or transition.
Meanwhile career advisory services often concentrate on providing expert advice based on industry knowledge, experience and skills needed for position and event potential salary ranges. Advisors help clients make informed career decisions by analyzing past experiences and interests. They may provide specific advice on job search techniques, resume writing, and interview preparation.
During career coaching sessions you can expect unbiased support to finding the right solution. Knowing that your thinking partner has no intention to drive company direction or manager agenda, but truly focusing on what is important to you is one of the differences from other tools like career advisory or mentorship.
During the Career Coaching sessions you might expect:

  • Clarifying Next Career Moves: Career coaching helps you identify and evaluate your options, providing clarity on the best next steps for your career path.
  • Enhanced Self-Awareness and Goal Setting: Through coaching, you gain a deeper understanding of your strengths, weaknesses, and values, which aids in setting clear, achievable career goals.
  • Skill Development: Coaches assist you in identifying and developing the skills necessary for your desired career, enhancing your employability and career progression.
  • Overcoming Obstacles: Career coaching provides strategies and support to navigate and overcome challenges, helping you build resilience and maintain a positive outlook.
  • Getting Unstuck: If you feel stuck in your career, coaching can help you break through barriers, reignite your motivation, and create a plan to move forward.

What are the stages of the coaching process?

This session is designed to determine if we are a good fit to work together. We will outline the coaching process, working principles, mutual responsibilities, confidentiality, and organizational matters.

We will sign a contract to formalize our coaching relationship and outline the terms and conditions.

During the first meeting, we will set clear, actionable goals for your coaching journey. This is a very important part as we will work towards establishing objectives.

We will schedule our regular meetings and their format. Usually, we set meetings lasting 60-90 minutes, depending on individual needs. It is recommended that sessions occur over a period of 6-9 months. We will engage in mutually active conversations, addressing relevant issues, seeking effective solutions, and raising awareness.

Sessions may include situational analyses, self-reflection, feedback, and homework discussions (if applicable). It is possible to use the CliftonStrengths assessment upon request.

We will summarize your growth journey, discuss progress, outline next steps, and explore ideas for sustaining your development.
